Motorists traveling east on 32

Avenue South in Grand Forks will experience a slight detour for the next couple of weeks. All eastbound traffic between S. 31
st
St. and Columbia Road will be detoured to allow construction crews to make some emergency repairs to an underground petroleum line in that part of the city.
Traffic will be detoured south on S. 31
st
St. to 36
th
Ave. S. and then east to Columbia Road. A temporary 4-way stop will be installed at Columbia Rd. and 36
th
Ave. S.
Westbound traffic will not be detoured, but may experience delays during heavy traffic times.
The work will begin on Thursday, January 24, 2013 and continue for approximately two weeks. A temporary road surface will be installed when the project is complete, which will be replaced with concrete when warmer weather returns.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, if possible, while the work is underway.
