Grand Forks, ND – Most city, county and state offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in observance of Christmas. Regular City business will not be conducted on that day. However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled.
City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Tuesday. Regular Tuesday pickup for the “A” route will take place on Wednesday, December 26, and Monday’s “B” route pickup will be on Thursday, December 27, along with regularly scheduled routes.
Recycling pick-up will not occur on Christmas Day. Recycling will be pushed back one day starting on Wednesday, December 26. Tuesday’s recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday’s recycling will be picked up on Thursday, Thursday’s recycling will be picked up on Friday, and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, December 29, 2012.
The Cities Area Transit (CAT), including City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will suspend all service on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. and will resume regular service on Wednesday, December 26.
City offices will re-open for business on Wednesday, December 26.
All offices in the County Office building and County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, December 25. They will reopen for business on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
