City, County and State offices will be closed Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in observance of New Year’s Day. Regularly scheduled city services will not be conducted on that day. However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled.

City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Tuesday. Regular Tuesday pickup for the “A” route will take place on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, and Tuesday’s “B” route pickup will be on Thursday, January 3, along with regularly scheduled routes.

Recycling pick-up will not occur on New Year’s Day. Recycling will be pushed back one day starting on Wednesday, January 2. Tuesday’s recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday’s recycling will be picked up on Thursday, Thursday’s recycling will be picked up on Friday, and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Cities Area Transit (CAT) and Dial-A-Ride will operate as scheduled on Monday, December 31, but will not operate on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. CAT will resume its regular routes and schedule on Wednesday, January 2.

All other City offices will re-open for regular business on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

All county and state offices in the Grand Forks County Office building and County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, January 1 and will re-open for regular business on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
