City of Grand Forks News Release - 01/18/2013

Grand Forks, ND – City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2013 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Regular City business will not be conducted on that day.
However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled as well as Cities Area Transit (CAT) and Dial-A-Ride, which will operate its normal routes.

Regularly scheduled garbage pick-up for Monday, January 21, will be performed as referenced in the 2013 City calendar. Those in the “A” route will have garbage picked up on Tuesday, January 22 and those in the “B” route will have garbage picked up on Wednesday, January 23.

Recycling pick-up will take place as scheduled on Monday, January 21, 2013. Please place items near the curb for recycling pick-up by 7:00 a.m. The landfill will be open on January 21 from 8-4:30 p.m.

The City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, January 21, will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Forks Council chambers. The meeting will be broadcast live on Cable Channel 2.

City offices will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

All offices in the County Office building and County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, January 22, including Northeast Human Services and Child Support offices.
