Special Events Grant Program & Review Committee
Every year the city allocates funds to help various public events that are offered throughout Grand Forks. The Special Events program was developed to assist groups in providing support for events which:
- Promote Grand Forks as an entertainment, recreation, and tourism center
- Attract visitors from outside the community and region
PLEASE NOTE: Arts organizations are strongly encouraged to apply for arts funding through the North Valley Arts Council.
Special Events Review Committee
Membership: The Review Committee is comprised of Ex-Officio members (based on their job positions) and includes council members and individuals from the community who have professional experience in holding and organizing events. Members serve until ______.

Yearly Funding Process
Applications and the allocation process for Special Event funding opens in the fall of the year prior to the program year. (Ex: Applications & allocations are done in fall of 2014 for the 2015 program year).

Please review the Special Events Program Description as there are a few changes this year. Most importantly:
Period of Eligibility (New this year):
Individual events will be eligible for funding for a maximum of five years (subject to continued Special Events Program funding by City Council). New events as well as events that have previously received Special Events Program funding will begin their five-year period of eligibility starting with the 2014 program year.
Special Events Request for Funds form (submit receipts/invoices/bank statements for double the amount)
Special Events Final Report form (10% of grant will be withheld until a final report is submitted)
